“Preachers of LA” star Deitrick Haddon is no longer signed to RCA Inspiration. The leading recording company for Gospel music recently decided to dissolve their relationship with Haddon, culminating the 12-year relationship with a “Best of Deitrick Haddon” album on Sept. 2.

The 41-year-old singer released six studio CDs for RCA Inspiration (previously Verity Records), the first being his 2002 CD, “Lost And Found” that sold an impressive 259,262 units to date – his best showing on the label.

Haddon’s last CD, “R.E.D. (Restoring Everything Damaged)” was released on Sept. 3, 2013, just a few months shy of the Detroit-bred vocalist being embroiled in a damaging media scandal he made unfounded accusations about his ex-wife Damita Haddon and another Gospel singer on social media.
Haddon’s online stunt backfired and only intensified previous backlash he had received for having a child out of wedlock that he had not publicly revealed.

Despite “Preachers of LA” being on its second season and boosting Haddon’s profile, his CD, “R.E.D. (Restoring Everything Damaged)” has only sold a paltry 35,266 units to date. A record label source, who spoke under the condition of anonymity, said Haddon’s “antics on the reality show were turning off fans and radio programmers and they were concerned about their potential to have success with him moving forward.”

 “He was not dropped. We had reached the end of the relationship and it was best that he move on. We appreciate what they contributed to his career,” says Haddon’s manager Holly Davis Carter.
