Singer-songwriter and music minister – Femi Owolabi is out with a brand new single and video titled “Majenri” (a Yoruba phrase that literally means “I Forbid It”).
In Owolabi’s words; “Majenri” is not just a song but prayer in faith, rejecting all that is undesired in our lives. It’s an everyday declaration and prayer against negativity.”
Heavy on African percussion, “Majenri” is a highlife tune beautifully delivered in the Yoruba dialect (Southwest-Nigeria). The song which officially dropped at the tail end of 2021 is Femi Owolabi’s way of rounding off a great year and ringing the new year 2022.
