“He has turned my mourning into dancing” (Psalm 30:11-12)
When I first started writing songs, I use to pray that I could one day write songs that will heal the sick, and minister hope to those who are discouraged. It came to pass when I released “Find God”.
“Lift Him High” was inspired by God Almighty as I recovered from a sudden sickness last year August 2013. The sickness started on the 23rd of July 2013, exactly two days after the release of “Find God”. Honestly at some point I thought I would die as I could not sit or stand without a dreadful pain from my head to my lower back, but God showed His power.
As if that was not enough, not more than 5months from the sickness, there was a fire accident that consumed the whole house on the 26th of December 2013 and I was in a temporary accommodation for a long time. The good news was that it did not stop me from doing what God has called me to do. So I always sing this song during my quiet time. Honestly if not for God where will I be?
I trust God but never imagined that such test would give birth great victory.
Then I spoke to my Producer Wole Oni about recording “Lift Him High”.
The funny thing about making music is you see people come and go; all the same I am glad I can sing to you about someone that never changes.
I want to use this opportunity to say a big thank you to God who has sustained me in the race of life, to all my fans and to everyone that supported me. I love you all and I hope this song blesses all my fans around the world..
