Rev. Chris Oyakhilome Honored At Benson Idahosa Univeristy with Honorary Doctorate Degree, Donates N1 Billion

After being honored with an honorary Doctorate degree
by the Ambrose Ali Univerity, Ekpoma, the prestigious Benson Idahosa
University honors Rev. Chris
Oyakhilome
with a honorary Doctorate degree in Divinity held at the University
Peniel Chapel
in a special
convocation ceremony.

Well
attended by many dignitaries including the Governor of Edo State,
represented by the honorable commissioner of Education; Deputy Governor
of Delta State; Former Governors of Edo and Anambra states; and highly
esteemed Royal fathers. Rev Mrs Margaret Idahosa (Archbishop of the Church of God Mission, Founder and Chancellor of the
University) who flew in from the U.S this
morning for the occasion, shared her reason for honoring Rev. Oyakhilome
saying:

“I have no hesitation to honor a man who sticks out his neck in
the midst of controversy and opposition to preach the truth… I have
longed to see this day come to pass and I have occasion to be more
excited than you all to have this opportunity to finally tell the world
how proud I am of this my son. I and the entire Benson Idahosa
University and the Church of God Mission are proud of you”

The late Bishop Benson Idahosa was said to be Rev. Oyakhilome’s role
model. He worked with the late Bishop in the Church of God Mission
during his years as a Student at Edo College and then went on to Ambrose
Ali University from where he launched the Believer’s Loveworld
ministry.

Beautifully decorated with high regards by
Archbishop Grace Idahosa. Rev. Chris Oyakhilome humbly accepted the honor while expressing his
gratitude to the Church of God Mission and University authorities
especially the Chancellor of the University Archbishop Margaret Idahosa
saying;

“Thank you for inviting me here, what you have done is that you
have given me the opportunity to say thank you to a man who had so much
impact on my life and to help with the vision.”.

This being said, he then
donated N1billion to the University for the building of its Faculty of
Engineering. A great show of a leader who works by example.

Congratulations Rev. Dr. Chris Oyakhilome!
